Registered Manager - Adults Residential Care

Location: Kettering
Employment Type: Full-time

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a residential adult care service in Kettering.

This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for service quality, compliance, staffing, budgets, and day-to-day performance. You will lead the team to deliver safe, effective, and person-centred care, while creating a positive environment where people feel valued, respected, and supported to live fulfilling lives.

The role will involve:

  • Leading the overall performance and quality of the service
  • Supporting and developing the Deputy Manager and wider staff team
  • Overseeing recruitment, induction, supervision, and performance management
  • Ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered consistently
  • Managing care planning, risk assessments, and reviews
  • Maintaining a strong safeguarding culture
  • Ensuring the service meets CQC regulations and fundamental standards
  • Leading audits, quality assurance, and service improvement
  • Managing budgets, staffing levels, and agency use
  • Building strong relationships with families, commissioners, local authorities, and health professionals

We are looking for someone with:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in adult social care
  • Experience within a regulated care environment
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or developing staff
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations and fundamental standards
  • Knowledge of safeguarding adults, Mental Capacity Act, and DoLS
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Calm, resilient, and reflective approach under pressure
  • Genuine commitment to improving the lives of others

Desirable experience:

  • Previous Team Leader, Deputy Manager, or Registered Manager experience
  • Medication management training
  • Experience supporting adults with complex needs or behaviours that challenge
  • Budgeting or operational management experience
  • Understanding of CQC inspection frameworks and quality assurance
  • Experience with HR processes including recruitment, disciplinary, and grievance procedures
