About the Role
We are excited to advertise the position of Registered Manager for our Short Breaks children's Home, Belbrook.
We are looking for an dedicated and creative person to take on the exciting role as Registered Manager in our well established Short Breaks Children’s home.
This is a great opportunity for someone for a management role in a home with a stable staff team, offering a Ofsted 'Good' service to disabled children. To ensure the delivery of a high-quality residential service for disabled children within the overall policy of the Department (as defined by the National Care Standards Commission- minimum standards for Children’s Homes).
Responsibilities
The role of the Registered Manager is to manage a staff team of Deputy manager, nurses and Residential Child Care Workers, to provide a fun time for disabled children away from their families, having new experiences, learning independent living skills and building friendship groups. Ensuring children’s voices, opinions and feelings are heard and advocating for the children we care for.
The home provides care for up to 5 children at a time with varied needs. Each child is supported as an individual. Their needs and strengths are considered by the staff team who tailor their support and care to each child.
The service is offered to children between the ages of 5 and 18 with severe learning disabilities and/or complex physical health needs. The home is fully equipped to offer a variety of activities for the children to choose, including sensory play, in and outdoor activities, cooking and water play.

The service also offers families the opportunity to have a break from their caring duties, to spend time with their other children and recharge their batteries.
You will work within a multi-disciplinary service, working alongside social workers, Occupational Therapists, Education provisions, parents and carers to ensure the best service is offered for the children we care for.
Requirements
This role requires the holder to register with Ofsted, which involves a further interview process which we will support you to achieve.
Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
