Registered Manager Children’s Home

Full Time

Location: Maghull

Salary: £40,000.00 - £50,000.00

About The Role

Toto is seeking a Registered Manager to lead our new 4-bed home in Maghull, dedicated to caring for children with learning and physical disabilities.

Are you an experienced Registered Manager with aspirations to make a significant impact within a small organization? Do you enjoy creating a home from scratch, leading on culture, recruitment, home design, and ethos?

Working closely with your Deputy Manager, you will ensure exceptional experiences and outcomes for our children, creating wonderful memories along the way.

You will lead by example, promoting Toto's vision, mission, and values in all aspects of work.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ensure high-level quality assurance processes and compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
  • Participate in placement referrals, including requesting and reviewing information, arranging visits, and potentially traveling and staying overnight.
  • Ensure a strong safeguarding culture and a safe environment for children and staff.
  • Operate the home in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the home meets and exceeds the standards in its Statement of Purpose and complies with legislative frameworks and the SCCIF.
  • Complete all child-centered and home records with high-quality reporting, recording, and care planning.
  • Promote a trauma-informed, therapeutic care approach based on PACE principles.
  • Promote stakeholder feedback and prioritize the voice of the child in quality assurance.
  • Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals, and team meetings to promote continuous professional development.
  • Complete manager audits and Regulation 44 quality of care reviews, leading on Regulation 44 visits.
  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring financial sustainability while maintaining high standards of care.
  • Participate in senior out-of-hours on-call rota and regular on-call as required.

Skills And Experience Required

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management or senior role within a children’s residential home.
  • Experience of working with people with complex physical, emotional, and learning needs.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability.
  • Good quality writing and IT skills.
  • Professional manner and effective communicator with external agencies.
