Registered Manager – Brand-New Therapeutic SEMH Children's Home

Location: Felixstowe, Suffolk

Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

On-Call: 1 in 10 rota, with additional pay

Lead a Brand-New Children's Home

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to join PSS Care Group and lead a brand-new 3-bed therapeutic SEMH children's home in Felixstowe.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will take responsibility for the overall leadership and development of the home, ensuring children receive safe, nurturing and high-quality care.

  • Lead the development and operation of a brand-new 3-bed therapeutic SEMH home
  • Build and maintain a positive, nurturing and child-centred culture
  • Lead, support and develop the staff team
  • Ensure high standards of safeguarding and care are maintained
  • Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted requirements and relevant regulations
  • Promote positive outcomes for children and young people
  • Work closely with the wider leadership and therapeutic teams
  • Take part in a 1 in 10 on-call rota, with additional payment provided
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the service

About You

We're looking for an experienced and values-driven Registered Manager who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.

You Will Ideally Have

  • Previous management experience within residential childcare
  • A strong understanding of children's residential care and safeguarding
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • A genuine commitment to therapeutic and child-centred practice
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for creating environments where young people can feel safe, valued and supported

A Level 5 qualification is desirable, although support towards achieving the qualification is available where required.

  • £50,000 – £55,000 per annum
