Registered Manager Children's Residential Home

Wallasey

£53,000 - £62,000 per annum

Full-time | 40 hours per week


We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 2-bed children's residential home supporting young people aged 7-17 with emotional and behavioural needs.

This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of a service from the outset, building a stable team and delivering high-quality, therapeutic care.

About the Role

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

You will play a key role in:

  • Setting up and developing the home
  • Building and leading a high-performing staff team
  • Embedding a child-centred, trauma-informed approach
  • Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
  • Driving positive outcomes for young people

Registered Managers are responsible for maintaining standards, safeguarding, and ensuring quality care in line with regulations and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the home
  • Lead, supervise, and develop staff
  • Ensure all care plans, risk assessments, and documentation are maintained
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Liaise with local authorities, families, and external professionals
  • Maintain full regulatory compliance

  • Experience working within children's residential care
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted and safeguarding frameworks
  • Leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate teams
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
