Registered Manager Children's Residential Home
Wallasey
£53,000 - £62,000 per annum
Full-time | 40 hours per week
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 2-bed children's residential home supporting young people aged 7-17 with emotional and behavioural needs.
This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of a service from the outset, building a stable team and delivering high-quality, therapeutic care.
About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
You will play a key role in:
- Setting up and developing the home
- Building and leading a high-performing staff team
- Embedding a child-centred, trauma-informed approach
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding standards
- Driving positive outcomes for young people

Registered Managers are responsible for maintaining standards, safeguarding, and ensuring quality care in line with regulations and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the home
- Lead, supervise, and develop staff
- Ensure all care plans, risk assessments, and documentation are maintained
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Liaise with local authorities, families, and external professionals
- Maintain full regulatory compliance

- Experience working within children's residential care
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted and safeguarding frameworks
- Leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate teams
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
