Bright Oak Care is looking for an experienced and ambitious Manager to lead our 3-bed EBD Ofsted Registered children’s home in North London.
This is a key leadership opportunity for someone who wants to shape the culture of a developing service, build and stabilise a strong staff team, and help create a safe, therapeutic and nurturing home for young people.
We are looking for a confident children’s homes leader who understands the responsibility of registration, safeguarding, inspection readiness and high-quality care. You will be trusted and supported to lead the home, develop the team and drive the service towards strong outcomes.

About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the home, ensuring that children receive safe, consistent and child-centred care.

You will lead on safeguarding, staff development, compliance, care planning, quality assurance and inspection readiness. You will also play a key role in shaping the culture of the home, embedding strong routines, positive relationships and high expectations across the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the home in line with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted expectations.
- Create a safe, therapeutic and nurturing environment for young people.
- Build, stabilise and empower the staff team through clear leadership, supervision, mentoring and reflective practice.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, care planning, risk management and professional recording.
- Work closely with the Responsible Individual, external therapeutic consultants, social workers, families, education providers and partner agencies.
- Prepare the home and team for Ofsted inspection and continuous improvement.
- Promote positive outcomes for children and young people through consistent, values-led leadership.

About You
- Experienced Registered Manager within EBD children’s home settings.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted, safeguarding and inspection readiness.
- Track record of leading services towards Good or Outstanding outcomes.
- Confident leader who can build culture, stabilise a team and empower staff.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or equivalent.
- Willingness to work towards Level 7.
- Genuine passion for developing, nurturing and supporting children and young people.
