Registered Manager - Children's Residential

Location:

Bath and/or Bristol

Salary:

£50,000 per annum + bonus

Every child deserves more than care. They deserve a foundation of love, stability and opportunity.

We are looking for an experienced, resilient and child-centred leader to become Registered Manager of one of our children's residential homes. This is a rare chance to shape a service from the ground up, build a strong staff team, and give children the safe, nurturing environment they deserve.

The role

As Registered Manager, you will hold Ofsted registration for your home and take full responsibility for its day-to-day operation. Working closely with the Responsible Individual and Director, you will lead the staff team, drive continuous improvement, and act as the home's Designated Safeguarding Lead, working towards a rating of “Good” or “Outstanding” at Ofsted inspection.

What you'll be doing

  • Holding Ofsted registration and ensuring full compliance with the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
  • Acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead, embedding robust safeguarding practice across the home
  • Championing the voice, wishes and feelings of every child, and promoting trauma-informed, rights-based practice
  • Providing strong, visible leadership, recruiting and developing a skilled and motivated staff team
  • Building effective partnerships with placing authorities, social workers, schools, and health services
  • Managing the home's budget, premises, and resources to create a safe and homely environment

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
