GoodOaks Homecare Bedford

Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
Plus performance-related bonus and additional payment for on-call duties

Lead and grow an established homecare service

GoodOaks Homecare Bedford is looking for an experienced and ambitious Registered Manager to lead our established domiciliary care service through its next stage of growth.

We have built a strong local reputation for delivering high-quality, personalised visiting care and live-in care. You will be joining an experienced team, a loyal client base and a service with solid foundations.

This is not a turnaround role. It is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of a successful service, develop the team and work closely with an engaged Director who is committed to investing in the business and its continued growth.

The role

As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the quality, compliance and day-to-day operation of the service. You will also work alongside the Director to expand our visiting care and live-in care services across Bedford and the surrounding area.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the CQC Registered Manager for the service.
  • Ensuring the service operates safely, effectively and in accordance with CQC regulations and adult social-care legislation.
  • Leading, supporting and developing the care and office teams.
  • Maintaining and continually improving standards of person-centred care.
  • Completing client consultations, assessments, care planning and new-client onboarding.
  • Ensuring care plans and risk assessments remain accurate, effective and up to date.
  • Managing feedback, concerns, safeguarding matters and complaints positively and effectively.
  • Supporting recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal and development of team members.
  • Monitoring service quality through audits, observations, spot checks and other quality-assurance processes.
  • Building trusted relationships with clients, families, commissioners, healthcare professionals and community partners.
  • Supporting effective rota management and continuity of care.
  • Participating in the shared out-of-hours on-call rota, with additional payment for on-call duties.
  • Working with the Director to identify opportunities for sustainable growth.
  • Developing local professional relationships and referral networks.
  • Helping to grow both our visiting care and live-in care services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why join GoodOaks Bedford?

You will be joining an established service with a strong reputation and significant potential for further growth.

You will work closely with a supportive and involved Director rather than being expected to manage the service in isolation. You will have the autonomy to lead, the backing to succeed and genuine input into the future direction of the business.

What we offer

  • Salary of £40,000–£45,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Performance-related annual bonus linked to clear and achievable targets.
  • Additional payment for participation in the on-call rota.
  • Regular salary and performance reviews.
  • Reimbursement of the Enhanced DBS check fee.
  • Ongoing training and professional development.
  • Support from the experienced GoodOaks franchise team.
  • Company pension.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Employee and store discounts.
  • Company events.
  • Paid volunteer days.
  • A positive, supportive and proactive working culture.
  • The opportunity to play a central role in growing an established local care service.
  • The backing of the UK’s first carbon-neutral homecare company.

This is more than a day-to-day branch-management position. It is an opportunity to lead with purpose, develop a strong team and make a lasting contribution to the growth of a respected homecare service.

If you are an experienced domiciliary care leader who is ready to take ownership of an established service, we would love to hear from you.
