Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care
Location: Southend-on-Sea, covering a maximum 10-mile radius
Salary: £40,000 basic salary plus performance-related OTE bonus
Lead, improve and grow a developing home care service
We are looking for a highly accountable, commercially driven Registered Manager to lead a domiciliary care service based in Southend-on-Sea.
What We Offer
- £40,000 basic salary.
- Performance-related OTE bonus.
- The opportunity to lead and shape a developing service.
- Support from an established multi-site group infrastructure.
- Access to dedicated finance, HR, recruitment and leadership support.
- Genuine autonomy and responsibility.
- Ongoing professional and leadership development.
- The opportunity to make a measurable impact on quality, culture and growth.
- Future progression opportunities within a growing care group.
The service currently supports approximately 30–40 customers through a team of around 13–15 Care Experts. It has strong growth ambitions, but it also has challenges that require clear leadership, structure, consistency and ownership.
This is not a maintenance role.
We need someone who is confident taking responsibility for the performance of the service, identifying what needs to improve and following actions through to completion. You will be expected to bring stability, raise standards, strengthen communication and build a service capable of sustainable growth.
The right person will be ambitious, organised, resilient and comfortable being measured on both quality and commercial performance.
The role
As Registered Manager, you will hold overall responsibility for the safe, compliant and commercially successful operation of the service.
You will lead the office and care teams, improve operational performance, strengthen customer and Care Expert engagement and build a clear plan for growth across the Southend area.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Someone who is highly organised, commercially aware and passionate about high-quality care. A leader who communicates clearly, follows through on commitments and accepts full responsibility for the performance of their service.
