About the opportunity

Care Legacy Ltd is looking for an experienced, motivated and approachable Registered Manager to join our established Bentham service.

The successful candidate will be required to apply to CQC and become the Registered Manager for our Bentham location, taking overall responsibility for the quality, compliance, leadership and continued development of the service.

Importantly, this vacancy has not arisen because somebody is leaving.

Our Bentham branch is an established CQC-rated GOOD service, with an experienced management and office team who have worked incredibly hard to develop the service, support our care teams and build the strong foundations we have today.

As Care Legacy continues to grow and our directors focus on other projects and the wider development of the business, we are strengthening our management structure by appointing a dedicated Registered Manager for Bentham.

You will therefore be joining an established service with a knowledgeable and supportive team around you – you won't be starting from scratch.

About the role

As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the effective management, quality, compliance and continued development of the Bentham service.

You will work closely with our existing management and office team while providing strong leadership to the wider care workforce.

A key part of the role will also be continuing the excellent relationships Care Legacy has developed with local councils, NHS commissioners and other health and social care professionals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Applying to CQC and becoming the Registered Manager for our Bentham location
  • Taking overall responsibility for CQC compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining and building upon the service's existing GOOD CQC rating
  • Providing strong, visible and supportive leadership to the team
  • Leading, motivating, developing and supporting staff
  • Working collaboratively with our established management and office team
  • Overseeing the quality and safety of care delivery
  • Overseeing assessments, care planning and reviews
  • Managing safeguarding concerns, incidents and notifications appropriately
  • Maintaining robust quality assurance, audits and governance
  • Supporting recruitment, supervision, development and retention of staff
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with clients and their families
  • Continuing and developing our relationships with local authority and NHS commissioners
  • Responding to new care opportunities and supporting sustainable growth
  • Supporting the continued development of the service across Craven, Cumbria and surrounding areas
  • Participating in the management on-call rota, which is paid separately in addition to your salary

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A little more about us

Care Legacy is an independent homecare provider delivering services across Yorkshire, Cumbria and surrounding areas.

We're incredibly proud of what the whole Bentham team has built together, and this appointment is about strengthening that team as the company moves into its next stage.

We're not looking for someone to come in and change everything for the sake of it.

We're looking for someone who can recognise what already works, provide strong registered leadership, bring fresh ideas and help us continue developing a service that our clients, staff and commissioners can have confidence in.

If you're passionate about great care, aren't afraid of hard work and think you'd fit into a team that takes its responsibilities seriously without taking itself too seriously, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply with your CV and tell us a little about yourself and why you think you'd be a great fit for Care Legacy.
