Registered Manager

As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the management and delivery of high-quality care and support across two of our homes.
You will oversee the day-to-day running of both services, leading and supporting the staff teams and ensuring that both homes maintain high standards of person-centred care. You will be responsible for ensuring both services operate safely and effectively and remain compliant with CQC requirements, relevant legislation and Liaise policies and procedures.
The role will require you to work flexibly across both homes, providing a strong management presence and ensuring consistency in the quality of support provided.
Key Duties
- Oversee the day-to-day management and operation of both homes.
- Lead, manage and support the staff teams across both services.
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred care and support is consistently delivered across both homes.
- Ensure support plans, risk assessments and other care documentation are accurate, up to date and regularly reviewed.
- Monitor the needs and wellbeing of the people we support and ensure appropriate support is in place.
- Ensure both homes remain compliant with CQC requirements, relevant legislation and Liaise policies and procedures.
- Take responsibility for safeguarding and ensure any concerns are identified and managed appropriately.
- Work closely with the people we support, their families, Local Authorities, Social Services and other professionals.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively across both services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and ensure appropriate audits and checks are completed.
- Lead and develop staff through supervision, support and performance management.
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards across both homes.
- Liaise with CQC and other external agencies as required.
- Work flexibly across both services, including carrying out spot checks and providing management support when required.

What We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will need:
- A relevant Health & Social Care and/or management qualification, or equivalent.
- A strong understanding of CQC requirements and current health and social care legislation.
- Previous experience of managing a health and social care service.
- A minimum of two years' experience in a management role within health and social care, with experience of overseeing multiple services or teams desirable.
- Experience of working with Social Services, Local Authorities and other external professionals.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Excellent communication, organisational and record-keeping skills.
- The ability to manage budgets and the operational requirements of a service.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
- A full UK Driving Licence is desirable.
