Registered Manager (in a Residential Home)

£45k starting salary rising to £48k – 35 hours per week (Some unsociable hours)

Lead a Home where older people matter.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our warm and welcoming 34-bed residential care home for older people, Guild House.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a values-led charity committed to providing high-quality care, promoting independence, and creating a safe and supportive environment where older people can thrive.

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the delivery of person-centred care that meets the needs, wishes and aspirations of our residents, whilst maintaining full compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements.

About The Role

  • Provide visible and effective leadership to the entire staff team.
  • Ensure high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times.
  • Promote a positive culture focused on dignity, respect and wellbeing.
  • Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and Fundamental Standards.
  • Lead your service on safeguarding, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Support, develop and motivate staff through supervision, appraisal and training.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
  • Work closely with the Head of Operations, CEO and Board of Trustees to achieve strategic objectives.

About You

You will have:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or equivalent senior leadership role within adult social care.
  • Knowledge and understanding of CQC regulations and inspection processes.
  • Experience of leading residential care services for older people.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to achieving excellent outcomes for residents.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding, MCA, DoLS and quality governance.

Essential Qualifications

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or equivalent), or willingness to achieve within an agreed timescale.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
