Job Description:

Are you an experienced Registered Manager or aspiring Deputy Manager looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact—while being supported by a warm, close-knit team? Lakes Home Care is a small, caring domiciliary care company based in Kendal, proudly serving adults across the South Lakes. With a dedicated team of 14 staff (equivalent of 7 full time staff) we’re known for our compassionate, person-centred approach to care—whether at home or out and about in the community.

We’re now seeking a confident and passionate Registered Manager to help lead our next phase of growth. This role is ideal for someone with experience managing in a care setting who’s excited to shape and expand a high-quality service.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of our domiciliary care services
  • Lead, support and inspire a dedicated team, ensuring a positive, nurturing workplace culture
  • Deliver and maintain outstanding person-centred care in line with CQC requirements
  • Develop care plans, risk assessments and other relevant documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative standards
  • Submit reports to relevant regulatory bodies (e.g., CQC, safeguarding authorities)
  • Play a key role in growing the business, helping us expand while protecting the values that make us unique
  • Help train and mentor new members of the management team to build strong internal leadership
  • Participate in on-call duties and deliver hands-on care where needed

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
