Salary: £70,000 per annum (DOE) + 40% Bonus
Are you passionate about building a resident-first culture with a motivated, empowered team?
Do you thrive on combining clinical excellence with commercial success?
Do you want the autonomy to lead an established home, drive occupancy, and take quality from Good to Outstanding?
Then this could be the position for you!
We are working with a respected and expanding elderly care provider seeking an ambitious Home Manager to lead a well-established, medium sized character care home in Uxbridge. The home offers nursing, dementia, residential and respite care across three floors, with a planned programme of refurbishment and investment.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to take ownership of an existing service, build on a recent Good CQC rating, strengthen the team and culture, and position the home as the local care home of choice.
This is a growing operator with a strong portfolio of high-quality care homes. The group is recognised for its values-led approach, consistently placing residents and staff at the heart of everything they do. Their services span nursing, dementia and residential care. Known for investing in facilities, staffing, training and resources, the organisation continues to deliver high standards.

You will be empowered and fully resourced to set standards, manage the budget, shape the team and deliver both quality and commercial outcomes without being micromanaged.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
