Registered Manager (Part-Time/Flexible) - New Dementia Care Home
Location: Torbay, Devon
Hours: Part-Time / Flexible
Salary/Rate: Competitive, DOE

Exciting Opportunity to Shape a Brand-New Service
We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to support the owner of a newly established care home in Torbay specialising in dementia care.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced manager who enjoys developing services from the ground up. The owner is looking for support with the CQC registration process, establishing robust policies and procedures, and creating a high-quality, person-centred service ready for successful operation.
The role would particularly suit a candidate seeking part-time or flexible working arrangements, including an experienced Registered Manager, Consultant Manager, or Regional Manager looking for a rewarding project.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the CQC registration process
- Work closely with the owner to develop the service
- Establish policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and Fundamental Standards
- Develop a dementia-focused, person-centred care model
- Support recruitment and development of the care team
- Prepare the home for opening and ongoing regulatory requirements
- Provide guidance on quality assurance and best practice
Essential Requirements

- Previous experience as a Registered Manager within adult social care
- Strong understanding of CQC regulations and registration processes
- Experience within residential dementia care
- Knowledge of quality assurance, compliance, and governance
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
Desirable
- Experience opening or developing new care services
- Multi-site or regional management experience
- Consultancy or project-based management experience
