Role Summary
The Registered Manager will lead and develop domiciliary care services, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant operations. This role involves maintaining high-quality, person-centered care, supporting sustainable growth, and optimizing service capacity. The manager will also oversee people management, quality assurance, compliance, and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the domiciliary care service.
- Act as the CQC Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards.
- Prepare and present regular KPI reports to senior management, identifying trends and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate understanding of service capacity and produce regular capacity reports.
- Oversee assessments, care plans, and risk assessments to ensure person-centred care.
- Provide leadership in safeguarding adults, ensuring concerns are recognized, recorded, and escalated.
- Ensure sufficient numbers of appropriately trained and competent staff are available and manage staff performance.
- Maintain safe systems for medication support and administration.
- Implement an effective quality assurance programme, including regular audits and feedback collection.
- Ensure appropriate risk assessments are completed and reviewed, and maintain effective lone-working procedures.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date care and employee records, ensuring compliance with data protection.

Required Qualifications
- Previous management or senior leadership experience within adult social care.
- Strong experience within domiciliary/home care.
- Good knowledge of CQC regulations and Fundamental Standards.
- Understanding of safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, medication management, and risk management.
- Experience managing and developing care staff.
- Experience conducting audits and implementing quality improvements.
- Ability to analyze operational information and produce management reports.
- Good IT and administrative skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to appropriate transport.
- Right to work in the UK.

Preferred Skills
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager.
- Experience managing and growing a domiciliary care service.
- Experience working with local-authority commissioned care.

Compensation
£37,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications, plus 28 days' annual holiday, workplace pension, mileage paid at £0.45 per mile for approved business mileage, ongoing training, and professional development.
Location & Work Arrangement
Southampton, Permanent, Full-Time. Travel throughout Southampton and the surrounding service area is required. Participation in on-call arrangements may be required.
