Overview
The Recruitment Crowd are delighted to be working with a growing care provider who are preparing to open a brand-new children’s residential home.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Registered Children’s Home Manager to take the lead on a new service from the very beginning.
The home is single occupancy, allowing for a highly personalised, child-centred approach where relationships, stability and positive outcomes are at the heart of everything.
The Role
As the Registered Children’s Home Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful running of the home. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape the culture, build and develop your team, and create a safe, nurturing and supportive environment where young people can thrive.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading, supporting and developing a small residential care team.
- Ensuring the home delivers high-quality, child-centred care.
- Maintaining a safe, nurturing and positive environment for the young people living within the home.
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the service, including staffing, budgets and risk management.
- Ensuring the home remains compliant with relevant legislation, Ofsted requirements and safeguarding procedures.
- Developing, reviewing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Building positive relationships with young people, families, professionals and external agencies.
- Driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards across the service.
- Supporting the development and progression of your team.

About You
We are looking to speak with an experienced leader within children’s residential care who is passionate about making a genuine difference.
To Be Considered, You Will Ideally Have
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior leadership or management role within children’s residential care.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and relevant legislation.
- Experience leading and developing a team.
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes.
- A commitment to creating a safe, stable and child-centred home environment.
