Registered Manager - Domiciliary Care
£35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience Full-time, Permanent Location: Solihull
We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to take responsibility for the quality, compliance and day-to-day delivery of a well-established domiciliary care service in Solihull.
This is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about high-quality care, strong compliance and developing a great team, with the support of an experienced Operations Manager working alongside them.
The service currently delivers approximately 2,000 hours of care per month and has strong foundations in place. While there are ambitions to continue growing the branch, business development will not sit solely with the Registered Manager.
You will work closely with an Operations Manager who is actively focused on business development and growth, allowing you to concentrate on ensuring the operational side of the service is safe, compliant and delivering care to an excellent standard.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the quality and compliance of the service, creating a culture where clients receive consistently excellent care and the team understands the standards expected of them.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Taking overall responsibility for CQC compliance, quality and regulatory standards
- Ensuring care is safe, effective, responsive and person-centred
- Maintaining strong systems around care planning, risk assessments, audits, medication and safeguarding
- Ensuring the service remains inspection-ready and proactively addressing any areas for improvement
- Leading, supporting and developing the office and care teams
- Monitoring service delivery and ensuring standards are maintained as the branch grows
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, supervision and retention of Care Assistants
- Building strong relationships with clients, families and external professionals
- Managing complaints, incidents and safeguarding matters appropriately
- Monitoring operational performance and identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency
- Working closely with the Operations Manager, who will have a particular focus on business development and increasing care hours
- Ensuring that growth is supported by the right staffing, processes and quality standards

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
