Company Description

Foresight Care LTD provides residential care for children and young people aged 10–17 with challenging behaviors, mild mental health issues, and learning difficulties in a mixed-gender residential home. The organization supports young people who have experienced trauma and whose complex needs may not have been fully met in previous settings. Many residents have lived in children’s homes, secure local authority accommodation, or open and secure psychiatric facilities. Young people may present with mental health and developmental conditions such as depression, psychosis, ADHD, autism, Asperger’s syndrome, and learning difficulties. Foresight Care LTD focuses on providing a stable, supportive environment that promotes safety, emotional wellbeing, and personal development.

Role Description

Registered Managers, Deputy Managers, and Residential Support Workers will provide high-quality care and support to children and young adults in a residential setting in Wolverhampton. In this full-time, on-site role, team members will oversee daily routines, support residents with personal, social, and educational needs, and help them develop positive coping strategies and life skills.

Managers will lead staff teams, coordinate shifts, manage resources, and maintain accurate records, while Deputy Managers and Support Workers assist with key work sessions, activities, and behavior support. All roles involve collaborating with families, external professionals, and agencies to promote positive outcomes and a therapeutic, structured environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong Communication skills, including the ability to build trust, de-escalate challenging situations, and liaise effectively with young people, colleagues, families, and external professionals.
  • Demonstrated People Management and Training skills, with experience supervising staff, supporting professional development, and promoting consistent, person-centered care.
  • Awareness of Residential Real Estate and residential care home operations, including health and safety, maintenance considerations, and creating safe, homely environments.
  • Budgeting and resource management skills to support service planning, cost control, and effective allocation of staffing and materials.
  • Relevant health and social care qualifications (e.g., Level 3 or above in Children and Young People or equivalent) and knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and behavior support.
  • Experience working with children or young adults with mental health needs, challenging behaviors, or learning difficulties in a residential or similar setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts as required, and to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks and quality standards for children’s residential care; registration with relevant bodies is advantageous for managerial positions.
