Wexham Park Hospital (AMU Ward)

This is an exciting time to join our team. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse to support our clinical teams within the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) at Wexham Park Hospital.

In this role, you will provide specialist mental health input to patients within the AMU and wider clinical areas. You will play a vital part in promoting parity of esteem between mental and physical health, offering expert advice, support, and information to patients experiencing acute mental health needs.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong nursing and risk-assessment skills
  • A comprehensive understanding of the legal frameworks that guide acute mental health care
  • A solid knowledge of mental health diagnoses and evidence-based psychosocial interventions

We are looking for a highly motivated and adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment, and who is committed to promoting mental health awareness and wellbeing across the AMU and the broader hospital setting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
