Compton Ward Needs You!
We are an 18-bedded surgical ward, taking general surgery and urology patients. We also accept non-complex T&O patients.
We are a friendly, hard-working team who strive for excellence. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed team members who will help maintain our high standards for patient care. In return, we offer support and training for the different types of surgery.
Responsibilities
- Participate as an active member of the nursing team, accountable for your practice and role modelling the highest standards of care to all members of the team
- Demonstrate a good knowledge base of surgical conditions and the treatment required, using evidence on which to base practice
- Support the team in the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of care of patients attending the department in accordance with Trust and directorate pathways

Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust is on an exciting journey with all of our divisions committed to doing things better, with more efficiency as we update, modernise, and advance. We have also entered a Group Model with neighbouring Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and become University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHN). As part of this collaborative approach, there may be a requirement for you to work across both the Kettering and Northampton hospital sites, depending on the needs of the service.
