Guthrie House Care Home, located in Edinburgh, provides high quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite and Palliative Care in a warm and welcoming environment. Set in the peaceful surroundings of South East Edinburgh, the home is known for its compassionate approach, strong community spirit, and dedication to delivering exceptional care.
Registered Nurse Contract
- Pay: £22.61 per hour
- Hours: 39.5 hours per week
- Shift: Dayshift available
- Benefits: Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided
- Leave: 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

- Working closely with the wider care team, you will be responsible for assessing needs, administering medication, monitoring physical and emotional wellbeing and ensuring care plans are followed accurately and safely.
- Alongside providing hands on nursing care, you will help guide colleagues throughout each shift, respond confidently to changing resident needs and help maintain the high standards that allow the home to consistently deliver exceptional care.

Whether building relationships with residents and families, making informed clinical decisions or helping support colleagues throughout the home, your expertise and professionalism will play an important role in the daily lives of those you care for.
What Matters Most
- Registered Nurse qualification with active NMC PIN is essential
- Previous experience working as a Registered Nurse in a Scottish care home is preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge with confidence administering medication and supporting care planning
- Ability to make sound clinical decisions while responding effectively to changing needs
- Strong communication skills with ability to support residents, families and colleagues professionally
- Compassionate, dependable and professional approach with genuine commitment to delivering exceptional care
