Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse in Critical Care

We are recruiting for Registered Nurses who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

We have 20 beds within Critical Care, offering you the opportunity to gain valuable experience in caring for critically ill adults within an innovative, challenging, and aspirational workplace.

We are committed to advancing nursing practice and our Clinical Nurse Educator provides in-house training and support for clinical and professional development.

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage the ventilated, haemofiltered, and cardiovascularly compromised patient initially under supervision, whilst developing professionally, utilising competency-based Knowledge & Skills Framework (KSF) leading to autonomy of care when proficient, in conjunction with further development of management skills.

  • Provide support to Nurse Team Leaders and Managers in the training and development of less senior staff.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the management of acutely unwell and deteriorating patients who are nursed outside the critical care setting, i.e., the Recovery and Emergency Department.
  • Be fully informed about changes in Critical Care Outreach and update professional knowledge to meet the requirements for revalidation.
  • Manage and deliver patient care to the highest standard utilizing a holistic research-based model and including patient and relative involvement.
