Registered Nurse Opportunity at Lister Hospital
We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
About the Role
Discharge lounge in Lister hospital is looking for an energetic and proactive staff nurse to join our small team to help the flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the senior sister to ensure that the care delivered in the clinical area is of the highest quality, supported by research and in accordance with local and national policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Be a professional lead for the nursing team, promoting the highest standard of patient care.
- Work with the senior sister in the development, monitoring and auditing of standards of patient care within the department and implementing the necessary.
- Ensure that patients, their families and carers have access to information that is current and allows them to make relevant and necessary decisions in order to participate in their condition management.
- Responsible for best practice of infection prevention and control ensuring that there is a clean environment for patients and carers.
- Ensure that infection control policies and procedures are applied consistently across the Multidisciplinary Team.
- Support the senior sister to ensure good effective working relationships with all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Ensure that high standard of nursing care is performed at all times and assists in the review and regular update of these standards in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct and trust policies.
- Communicates sensitive, confidential information, including condition related information concerning patients/clients with empathy, persuasion and reassurance.

Position Details
- This is a part-time position with no night shifts available.
- We are open 7 days a week including bank holidays.
