About Us

At NHS Golden Jubilee University National Hospital, we’re proud to play a key role in supporting NHS Scotland by delivering high-quality, person-centred care. As a modern, national facility with state-of-the-art clinical services and specialist teams, we help ensure patients across Scotland receive timely, safe, and effective treatment.

We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse to join our Eye Centre Team, offering an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering exceptional care to patients accessing specialist ophthalmology services. The Eye Centre provides outpatient, theatre, and pre/post-operative services and plays an important role in supporting patients throughout their ophthalmology journey.

About The Role

As part of the Eye Centre team, you will work within a multidisciplinary environment to provide high standards of care to patients undergoing assessment, treatment, and surgery for ophthalmic conditions. You will act as a patient advocate, ensuring care is delivered safely, effectively, and with dignity throughout the patient journey.

The Eye Centre is a bespoke, purpose-built center, integrating Ophthalmology Out-Patient Clinics, Pre & post Op areas, and Ophthalmology Theatres. The unit aims to ensure a high level of quality and provision of elective Cataract services to meet the demands of an aging population.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
