Pay range for this position is $46.94 - $58.26/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.
Shift Differentials:
- Weekends - $3.25/hour
This position will travel between our Galesburg, Monmouth, and Kewanee locations.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Core Flex II Registered Nurse provides expert, engaged nursing care, aligned with their competencies, across a defined market or region within OSF HealthCare. The Core Flex II RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients using the nursing process. The Core Flex II RN is a highly knowledgeable, autonomous professional who demonstrates flexibility and adaptability, seamlessly working across various units and locations to meet patient and organizational needs. The Core Flex II RN role requires advanced clinical competence, informal leadership capability, and provides safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to patients across the care continuum in diverse environments.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Associate degree in nursing
Experience:
- 1 year of nursing experience in an acute healthcare setting within the specialty hired.
Licensure/ Certification:
- Reg Nurse License in the state of Illinois
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS) through the American Heart Association
- Advanced Care Life Support certification (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (required for applicable specialties)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association (required for applicable specialties)

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain flexibility in work and schedule.
- Strong clinical judgment and autonomous decision-making ability.
- Advanced assessment, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage complex patient populations across the care continuum.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft applications.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or completion within two years of hire.
Experience:
- 2 years of nursing experience in an acute healthcare setting within the specialty hired.
Participation in Clinical Ladder strongly encouraged.
