Registered Nurse - Merlewood Care Home

About The Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse for the provision of nursing care for all residents and for maintaining a homely, supportive, and stimulating environment to improve or sustain the residents' quality of life.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care that meets residents' individual needs and preferences.
  • Complete nursing assessments and develop, review, and update personalised care plans.
  • Administer and manage medications safely in line with NMC standards and company policies.
  • Monitor residents' wellbeing and respond appropriately to changes in their condition.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and documentation.
  • Ensure clinical equipment, medication, and supplies are managed effectively to support safe resident care.
  • Support, supervise, and mentor Care Assistants to promote excellent standards of care.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment whilst ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control requirements.
  • Participate in training and development activities, escalating concerns, incidents, complaints, or risks appropriately.

These are the normal duties, which the Home requires from the role. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and all employees will be required from time to time to perform other duties as may be required by the Company to ensure provision of the service to residents.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Registered Nurse (adult) with an active pin.
  • Experience working with care home environment is desirable.
  • Computer literate and excellent inter-personal skills
  • In good physical and mental health in order to meet the requirements of the role
