Salary: Up to £25.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
The Ridgeway Hospital in Swindon is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Oncology department.
This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties Of This Role Include
- Deliver safe, effective, and individualised nursing care to Oncology and Haematology patients across inpatient, day-case and outpatient settings.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in line with agreed treatment pathways and care plans.
- Support patients undergoing cancer and haematological treatments, including chemotherapy, transfusions, and supportive therapies (where trained).
- Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects, complications, and deterioration, escalating concerns appropriately.
- Provide holistic care that addresses physical, emotional, psychological, and informational needs of patients and their families.
- Administer prescribed treatments and medications in line with local policies, national guidance, and competency frameworks.
- Support the safe delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) where trained and authorised, or work towards SACT competency as required.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation in line with professional and legal standards.
- Ensure infection prevention and control measures are followed at all times.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration.
- Experience working in an Oncology and/or Haematology setting, or strong demonstrable interest with relevant transferable skills.
- Sound understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients in emotionally challenging situations.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Post-registration experience in Oncology, Haematology, or cancer services.
- SACT qualification or willingness to undertake SACT training.
- Experience in private healthcare, acute hospital, or specialist cancer services.
- Evidence of involvement in audits, service improvement, or specialist training.
