In 2026, the ICU will expand with a new bone marrow stem cell transplant unit, creating opportunities for nurses to specialise in advanced, high-acuity patient care.
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our vibrant ICU environment, you will:
- Thrive in a fast-paced team setting, providing care for the highest acuity patients, including post-craniotomy recovery, total radical neck surgeries, and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).
- Honor complex procedures like ventilator management, chest tube insertion, IV drips, dialysis, treacheostomy care, and administering treatments vulnerable populations rely on.
- Foster a collaborative culture with colleagues in a split 34-bed unit, treating the territorial largest cluster of critically ill patients.
- Learn and adapt in a learning-driven organization—pushing boundaries, whether through your career growth or upcoming ICU expansions.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care aligned with professional standards, Indiana RN licensure, and our organization’s mission.
- Demonstrate expertise in clinical skills, including advanced life support, clinical judgment, and technology-dependent care.
- Engage in team collaboration, effective delegation, active negotiation, and resource management.
- Ensure open communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams (e.g., doctors, physical therapists, social work).
- Advocate for safe, ethical, and compassionate care, adhering to acute care protocols.
(Note: ICU experience preferred but not mandatory—open to other acute care backgrounds and new nursing graduates.)

Qualifications & Skills
Required:

Graduate of a school accredited by:
- National League for Nursing (NLN)
- Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
- Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
- National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
OR
Three years of full-time professional nursing experience.

Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid, active Indiana license (Nurse Licensure Compact state eligible).
Preferred & Desired Traits:
- ICU experience (though we welcome other acute care nurse backgrounds).
- EPIC experience / proficiency with electronic health records.
- Exceptional communication & teamwork.
- Self-motivated, accountable, emotionally resilient, and compassionate.
