Nurses in General Practice enhance community health and equity, providing advanced care within multidisciplinary teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join us at The Doctors Woodham to contribute clinical excellence and community health improvement. You will work alongside skilled colleagues, supported by dedicated medical center leadership.

This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week across 5 days from Monday to Friday

Do you have what we are looking for?

  • A current New Zealand practicing certificate with prior experience in a medical centre (desirable)
  • Competent in areas of nursing in primary care (must have worked in primary care)
  • Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi.
  • Postgraduate nursing qualifications (or if you are working towards one) and/or specialisation is highly desirable; such as travel or occupational health, prescribing or long-term conditions
  • Willing to continually learn and improve
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to build strong rapport with team members.
  • You will ideally hold current CPR certificate
  • Hold authorised vaccinator and smear taker certificates
  • Computer literate
  • Would be advantageous to have Cannulation and phlebotomy skills but not essential
