Position: Locum Practice Nurse
Location: Middlesbrough
Contract: 3 months
Start Date: September
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
Clinical System: SystmOne
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Practice Nurse to join a GP surgery in Middlesbrough (TS5) on a 3 month locum contract, starting from September.
Key Responsibilities
- Cervical cytology / cervical screening
- Wound care and dressings
- Vaccinations and immunisations
- Phlebotomy
- Routine Practice Nurse clinics
- Supporting patients with long-term conditions
- Diabetes management and reviews
- Respiratory disease management
- Patient health promotion and preventative care
- Accurate clinical documentation and record keeping
- Working collaboratively with GPs and the wider practice team

Requirements
- NMC registered Nurse
- Previous GP surgery / primary care experience
- Confident working autonomously as a Practice Nurse
- Experience performing cervical cytology
- Experience with wound care, vaccinations and phlebotomy
- Experience managing diabetes and/or respiratory conditions
- Previous experience using SystmOne is essential/preferred

What's on Offer?
- £26.50–£31.50 per hour, depending on experience
- 3-month locum contract
- Starting September
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday available
- Established GP surgery in Middlesbrough
- Potential to split the requirement between two Practice Nurses
