About The Sidcup Care Home
Located at: 2-8 Hatherley Rd, Sidcup, DA14 4BG
Salaried position: £19.90 – £22.50 per hour (Hours can include both day and night shifts; flexibility is key to this role.)
An ideal candidate will embrace the need for adaptability, and our appreciation of your commitment will include:

Responsibilities
Your role will be pivotal in ensuring residents’ dignity, well-being, and care are maintained at the highest clinical standard.
- Caring for residents by:
- Managing their physical, emotional, and social needs
- Ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity are always prioritised.
- Developing expertise in digital care tools:
- Supporting effective record-keeping and creating smoother processes.
Leadership & Mentoring
As part of our trusted team, you will:
- Lead the unit while upholding clinical excellence
- Guide and mentor healthcare staff as part of formal and informal training programmes
- Deliver personalised care via:
- Assessments and individualised care planning
- Regular evaluations of resident progress and care standards.
Healthcare & Compliance Standards
- Monitor ongoing practices to ensure adherence with regulations
- Advise qualified staff on medication management, policy requirements, and CQC readiness.

Critical Support (Applicants Working Nights)
You will be primarily working alone during night shifts, needing strong:
- Critical thinking skills
- Confidence and self-reliance
- Ability to manage stress, resolve emergencies, and offer guidance within limited support.
Key Skills & Experience
We look for:
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification alongside a valid NMC PIN number
- Proven experience in:
- Implementing and reviewing clinical policies and procedures.
- Guiding colleagues through effective communication and best-practice frameworks.
- Facilitating connections and support for residents and their families.
- Exceptional soft skills in:
- Clear communication and handover practices.
- Confidence in handling situations individually or leading a team.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence amid challenging circumstances.
