Cley Gynaecology Ward

Cley Gynaecology ward is a varied and fast-paced ward here at the NNUH. We are a friendly and passionate team providing dedicated high standards of care within the surgical and emergency pathway setting, as well as supporting those experiencing complications in pregnancy, including hyperemesis, miscarriage, and termination of pregnancies.

About the Role

Join our Nursing & Midwifery team as a Band 4 Nursing Associate and play a key role in delivering high-quality, compassionate, and person-centered care. Working under the direction of registered nurses, you will provide safe and effective care to patients and their families while supporting assessment, care planning, and ongoing monitoring of patient wellbeing.

This is an excellent opportunity for a registered Nursing Associate who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care and developing their clinical skills within a supportive multidisciplinary team. You will perform a range of clinical duties, contribute to service improvement, promote health and wellbeing, and help ensure patients receive the highest standards of care throughout their journey.

The Nursing Associate will provide and monitor safe, compassionate, and person-centered care for a designated group of patients under the direction of a registered nurse. The post holder will undertake clinical observations, contribute to assessment and care planning, administer medication within competence, and support patients and their families throughout their care.

The successful candidate will work as part of the multidisciplinary team, recognizing and escalating changes in patient condition, maintaining accurate records, and supporting safe discharge planning. They will also contribute to health promotion, patient safety initiatives, quality improvement activities, and the development of colleagues, students, and healthcare support workers.

  • Recognising changes in a patient's condition and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Prioritising workload and patient care needs within an agreed plan of care.
  • Determining when advice or support is required from a registered nurse or other healthcare professional.
