We have exciting clinical opportunities available for 2 full-time permanent Registered Practitioners in Fertility Care, working across theatre, ward and clinic environments.

The Role
As a Fertility Nurse/Midwife, you'll provide specialist nursing care to patients undergoing fertility treatment, offering information and advice about fertility treatments, emotional support throughout their journey, and coordinating treatment cycle plans. You'll act as a key point of contact for patients, supporting and guiding them through their treatment whilst delivering safe, compassionate, patient-centred care across clinic, ward and theatre environments.
The Role Is Varied And Will Include
- Providing specialist nursing care to patients undergoing fertility treatment.
- Performing venepuncture, interpreting and communicating blood results where appropriate (training will be provided for venepuncture and cannulation).
- Performing basic patient assessments and undertaking pre-treatment consultations.
- Supporting and guiding patients throughout their fertility treatment cycles, acting as a key point of contact.
- Coaching patients in the self-administration of fertility medications and providing ongoing education and support.
- Assisting with theatre procedures including egg collection, embryo transfer, IUI, HyCoSy and other fertility-related interventions.
- Preparing patients for procedures and providing post-operative recovery care.
- Delivering competent peri-operative patient care and ensuring patient safety throughout the theatre pathway.
- Preparing theatre and ward areas, including maintenance of the resuscitation trolley.
- Working closely with fertility consultants, embryologists and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Maintaining compliance with clinical governance, infection prevention and control standards, and regulatory requirements.

We are highly committed to the development of our nursing and midwifery teams and regularly share best practice across the Care Fertility Group. We host monthly nursing journal clubs and actively support attendance at training programmes and conferences. Many of our nurses have progressed into Advanced Nurse Practitioner roles, and there are opportunities to develop skills in ultrasound scanning and prescribing over time.

You'll Need The Following Skills And Experience
- Qualification in Adult Nursing (Degree/Diploma) or Midwifery.
- Current NMC registration.
- Post-registration experience within an acute hospital setting (newly qualified applicants are encouraged to apply so we can understand their relevant experience).
- Excellent communication and patient-centred care skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable But Not Essential
- Experience within gynaecology and/or obstetrics.
- Theatre or peri-operative nursing experience.
- Recovery nursing experience.
- Prescribing qualification.
- Venepuncture skills.
- Ultrasound scanning experience.
Location & Hours
These are 2 full-time permanent positions based at Care Fertility London, Park Lorne, 111 Park Road, London, NW8 7JL, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with weekend working, participation in an on-call rota and Bank Holiday working as required.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £41,600 - £45,700 per annum (depending on experience)
- 33 days annual leave (including public holidays)
