Priory Hospital Cardiff is seeking a Registered Psychologist to join their team. This is a part-time role working 22.5 hours per week, with an actual salary of £28,950-£31,350 per annum.

Priory Hospital Cardiff, located in Cardiff, South Wales, is a low secure service for males and females with a personality disorder, learning disability, or mental health diagnosis. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes nearby providing access into and around Cardiff. The hospital is approximately 1 mile from a train station and close to the M4 motorway, offering wider regional access.
What you'll be doing
As a Registered Psychologist, you’ll collaborate with colleagues from Psychiatry, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and Social Work to provide high-quality care. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessment and Formulation: Experienced in assessment and formulation to help determine the treatment needs of individual patients.
- Training and Reflective Practice: Deliver staff training and facilitate reflective practice sessions to support clinical excellence across the service.
- Risk Assessments: Complete psychological risk assessments and contribute to effective risk management planning.
- Interventions: Provide evidence-based individual and group interventions tailored to the needs of the patient population.
- Support and Supervision: Receive peer support and supervision from an established and supportive psychology team based at Llanarth Court.
- Creative and Compassionate Approach: Use a creative and compassionate approach to enhance the quality of life and recovery outcomes of patients.
- Recovery Support: Support individuals as they progress through their recovery journey and move towards less restrictive environments.

What you'll bring to the role
Essential:
- Post-graduate qualification in psychology
- Registration with the HCPC as a Registered Psychologist
- Experience of working with complex clients and supporting staff teams
Desirable:
- Experience of working in a forensic setting
- HCR-20 trained
- Experience in the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model
