Registered Veterinary Nurse

Orchard Veterinary Centre

Location: Sherwood, Nottinghamshire

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until end of December 2026

Hours: Full Time (40 hours per week)

Practice Type: First Opinion

Competitive Salary: Between £27,800 - £31,000 depending on experience

Life At Orchard

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Orchard Veterinary Centre to work 40 hours a week across 4 or 5 days - just let us know what works for you, with a share in the 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota. This is a fixed term contract until the end of December 2026.

We are a well-established, friendly, small animal veterinary practice based in Sherwood, Nottinghamshire. We are RCVS-accredited, awarded Outstanding in Client Service and are a Silver-accredited cat-friendly practice. Our facilities include digital x-ray, dental x-ray, separate cat wards, and in-house lab facilities, giving you the tools you need to deliver outstanding care.

Our Veterinary Surgeons are given the freedom to make the best clinical decisions for their patients whilst sharing best practice, and are backed by a strong nursing team, which the successful Registered Veterinary Nurse will become a part of. With a strong reputation within the local community, they are conveniently located close Nottingham city centre with great access to the train station and main travel routes. As part of a wider group of practices, we have the advantage of supporting your development by offering in-house opportunities and alternative working options depending on your interests and caseloads.


About You

We're looking for a dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join our team. No two days will be the same, you will:

  • Support the outcome of patients care in all aspects of clinical work as part of the team.
  • Ensure Quality is maintained by keeping our practice in excellent condition—ensuring quality of care and the best possible outcomes for every patient.
