An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the friendly and supportive team at Gillingham Vets for Pets.
Our purpose-built small animal practice is fully equipped to provide a high standard of clinical care, offering an excellent working environment where you can thrive and develop your skills. You’ll be joining a close-knit and welcoming team consisting of 3 Vets, 2 Nurses, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant, 1 Practice Manager, and 6 Client Care Advisors.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who enjoys a varied role and wants to make full use of their nursing abilities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Admitting and discharging patients
- Monitoring anaesthesia and patient recoveries
- Delivering high-quality in-patient care
- Running nurse consultations and clinics
- Taking radiographs
- Assisting with surgical and diagnostic procedures

You’ll also be supported by our Veterinary Care Assistant with theatre turnaround and patient preparation, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
We are looking for someone with solid general nursing experience and excellent communication and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, approachable, and genuinely passionate about animal welfare and client care.
The Role
- Full-time position
- 40 hours per week
- 1 in 4 weekends
- No out-of-hours or overnight inpatient checks
