Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for your next opportunity in a supportive practice where your experience and development are valued?
At Totton Vets for Pets, you’ll become part of a warm, inclusive and professional team who genuinely enjoy working together. We’re a busy practice with a varied caseload, excellent equipment and a strong focus on providing outstanding patient and client care.
Meet the Team:
You’ll be joining an experienced and close-knit team, including:
- Two highly experienced RVNs with around 30 years’ experience each
- An experienced VCA
- SVN
- Three experienced Receptionists
- A permanent Vet
We also have:
- Two Clinical Coaches
- Two First Aiders
- An RPS
with all qualified team members completing their annual CPD and maintaining their professional registrations.

Variety Every Day:
We’re a busy small animal and exotics practice, seeing a diverse range of cases across:
- Medical
- Surgical
- Oncology
- Orthopaedic
- Exotic cases
You’ll have access to an impressive range of equipment, including X-ray, ultrasound, dental X-ray, Tonopen, blood pressure and multiparameter monitoring, full laboratory equipment, an oxygen chamber, orthopaedic equipment, electrocautery, suction, Bear Hugger and nebuliser.

Having recently undergone a rebrand, it’s an exciting time to join Totton Vets for Pets and be part of the next chapter of the practice.
Your Working Week
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Your shifts will rotate between:
- 8:30am–4:30pm
- 9:30am–5:30pm
- 11:00am–7:00pm
You’ll work 1 in 5 Saturday mornings, 9:00am–12:00pm, with these hours taken back on the following Friday.
Shifts are planned each week, with flexibility to swap shifts occasionally when needed.
Salary & Benefits
Up to £33,000 DOE
Alongside your salary, you’ll have access to the wider Vets for Pets benefits package, including generous annual leave, increasing with service, and opportunities for ongoing learning, development and CPD.

Our stand-alone practice is conveniently located in Totton, Southampton, surrounded by plenty of local amenities, including shops, restaurants, takeaways, a gym, Asda, a petrol station and Totton train station.

There’s free parking for up to five hours directly opposite the practice, with staff parking arrangements also available.
