You’ll be joining our supportive team which is made up of 6 vets, 3 RVN’s, 1 SVN, and 6 receptionists. Our team isn’t just about work. Our practice is accredited under the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme and proudly holds a Gold ISFM Cat Friendly Certificate, demonstrating our commitment to excellence. We embrace innovation, utilizing state-of-the-art technology such as laparoscopic spaying, dental X-ray, and capnography. You’ll also benefit from working alongside colleagues with or working towards certificates in Surgery, Exotics, and Imaging, enhancing your learning and expertise.
About You and the Role
You’ll help with the daily running of the practice to ensure a high standard care for Patients and Clients. Nurses are the heart of our practice and perform an integral clinical role in caring for our patients. You’ll have great communication and organization skills and take pride in working to a high standard. You will have an interest in and want to learn about, the practice as a business, as well as how to motivate a team to achieve their personal and practice goals. The key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the Veterinary Nurse role, delivering excellent patient and client care.

For this role you’ll need to be confident in all aspects of veterinary nursing, from surgical and medical procedures to inpatient care and consultations. Our nurses are allowed and expected to use their skills and really be a nurse. We have daily job roles such as operating, inpatients, and consults which are shared evenly throughout the week. We all use some of our schedule 3 but we are looking into this growing in the future.
We’re looking for a full-time RVN; however, we can be flexible as to how these are worked – whether you’re looking for a 4-day week or perhaps 5 shorter days, we invite you to come and talk to us about what works for you. Please note this role does include 1 in 4 weekends on a rota basis.
