Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Develop Your Nursing Interests

The practice is keen to support its nurses in developing areas of individual interest wherever possible. As the current refurbishment progresses, there will be greater scope to develop dedicated nurse clinics, with areas such as diabetic, renal and geriatric care already being considered.

There will also be opportunities to develop your clinical skills and potentially take on additional responsibilities as the practice grows. For an experienced RVN, there is potential to progress into a senior or head nurse position in the future, alongside opportunities to support and coach Student Veterinary Nurses.

The Practice

This is a busy, independent veterinary practice with a genuinely family-run feel. The team currently consists of six Veterinary Surgeons, six Registered Veterinary Nurses and two VCAs, creating a close-knit environment where everyone plays an important role in keeping the practice running smoothly.

The practice manages a broad first-opinion caseload, with nurses able to remain heavily involved throughout the patient journey rather than simply handing cases over elsewhere. The current refurbishment and extension will provide additional clinical space and allow the team to expand the services available to both patients and clients.

The Team & Culture

One of the biggest strengths of the practice is its people. There is a strong sense of loyalty and long-term commitment, with several members of the team having been at the practice for a decade or significantly longer, and some approaching 30 years. The culture is friendly, informal and supportive, with strong relationships across the team despite the fast-paced nature of the practice.
