Opportunity for a Locum Registered Veterinary Nurse
An opportunity has arisen for a Locum Registered Veterinary Nurse to join an independent veterinary practice with a strong reputation for delivering compassionate care and building lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
Role Overview
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing support, assist with clinical procedures and contribute to the smooth running of the practice.
Responsibilities
- Conducting nurse consultations and providing advice to clients.
- Supporting Veterinary Surgeons during consultations and surgical procedures.
- Delivering a high standard of inpatient nursing care.
- Assisting with patient admissions and discharges.
- Processing and running laboratory samples.
- Maintaining clinical areas and ensuring a high standard of practice.
- Supporting Student Veterinary Nurses and work experience students when required.

Requirements
- Previously worked as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, Veterinary Nurse, RVN, Registered Nurse or in a similar role
- Registered Veterinary Nurse status with the RCVS.
- Previous experience working within a veterinary clinical environment.
- Confidence carrying out medical and surgical nursing duties.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively.
- A flexible and dependable approach to locum assignments.
Position Details
We are seeking a RVN to provide temporary cover in Rottingdean and Peacehaven offering competitive salary and flexibility, with availability required for specific shifts throughout August and September, or the opportunity for a longer three-month locum contract working 3, 4 or 5 days per week.
