Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Fixed Term Contract

Our modern Andover Practice, located on the busy Enham Arch Retail Park, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic RVN to join our friendly, welcoming team on a fixed-term contract.

The practice opened in 2013 and has grown into a trusted local business, proudly serving its loyal client base since then.

About the Practice

  • Prime location within the Pets at Home store, offering accessibility and onsite parking.
  • A strong, forward-thinking, and caring team with many longstanding employees.
  • Provides a fast-paced, varied case load, with opportunities for skill development.

The Candidate

We look for a dynamic and proactive veterinary nurse with:

  • Strong all-round clinical skills and a commitment to excellence in patient and client care.
  • Exceptional teamwork, a positive attitude, and passion for customer service.
  • The enthusiasm to embrace nursing responsibilities, including Schedule 3 procedures, nurse clinics, and client relationship-building.
  • Commitment to evidence-based nursing practices.

The Role

Full role responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring anaesthetics and providing inpatient care.
  • Conducting nurse-led consultations.
  • Ordering supplies and assisting with procedures.
  • Collaborating with visiting specialists, including:
    • Ophthalmology
    • Ultrasonography
    • Soft tissue surgery

Shifts:

  • 3 days per week, ideally Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • Rotating shifts from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
  • Flexibility may be available for suitable candidates; therefore, applications are encouraged regardless of availability.
