Registered Veterinary Nurse - NO WEEKENDS, NO OUT OF HOURS!

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our small animal practice in Rushden East Midlands for a talented, friendly RVN to join our lovely team. We have two contracted full-time vets, one new graduate vet, one full-time nurse, one student veterinary nurse, two VCAs, and two receptionists.

Based inside the Rushden Pets at Home store, we benefit from a busy location across from Rushden Lakes Shops/Cinema and Waitrose.

We love our loyal, dedicated clients and their furry family members. We care for dogs, cats, rabbits, and small furries in our modern, well-equipped mezzanine general practice clinic.

We enjoy monthly team lunches (think Pizza Express, Swedish Kitchen, Wagamamas!!) and challenges such as climbing Snowden.

We are a CAW nurse training practice. You will be expected to mentor student nurses as well as stay on your toes with best practice for all areas of pet care including anaesthesia, post-operative routine surgery support, Nurse Consults, and emergency triage.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
