Are you an RVN who naturally leads and has the passion to inspire and motivate others in a fast-paced and dynamic veterinary surgery?

Bury St Edmunds Vets for Pets have a new combined opportunity for an RVN/Practice Manager to join their team!

Our delightful veterinary practice based on the Moreton Retail Park in Bury St Edmunds enjoys an excellent reputation within the local community. You’ll be joining a hard-working and inclusive team who are passionate about being at the heart of the local community and our practice provides excellent facilities.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week and weekends on a rota basis. The role will be split into 20 hours of Nursing and 20 hours in the Practice Manager role. We are also open to separating these roles into a part-time RVN and a part-time Practice Manager.

What we’re looking for:

This position would ideally suit an RVN looking to take a step back from a full-on clinical role into a more management role whilst still keeping your hand in and skills up to date. Any previous management experience within a veterinary practice would also be advantageous.

You will help with the daily running of the practice to ensure a high standard care for Patients and Clients. You’ll have great communication and organisation skills and take pride in working to a high standard. You will have an interest in and want to learn about, the practice as a business, as well as how to motivate a team to achieve their personal and practice goals. The key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the Veterinary Nurse and Practice Manager roles, delivering excellent patient and client care.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
