Wigan Vets for Pets – Registered Veterinary Nurse

Are you looking to join a supportive, vibrant and caring team who prioritise patient care? Are you looking to utilise your Schedule 3 skills? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you at our Wigan Vets for Pets practice!

Join our amazing team of 5 vets, 8 RVNs, 5 receptionists and 3 VCAs. We are a close team who support and help each other out, who make time to have fun and where each team member’s contributions are listened to and valued.

We are ideally looking for a full time RVN but we are flexible bosses and would be open to discussion regarding hours and rota. The responsibilities are on a rota and vary between:

  • Ward and inpatient nurse
  • Theatre and prep nurse
  • Consulting nurse

Between the hours of 8am and 8pm. There is no OOH and 1:7 Saturdays 8am until 3pm.

We are a busy practice with an interesting and varied caseload and we are looking for a real team player who is friendly, caring, empathetic and prioritises patient care and who aims to provide gold standard for their patients and clients within a first opinion setting. The practice is a RCVS accredited GP and we are accredited as a Zero Pain Practice with the Zero Pain Philosophy.

We have an incredible team of nurses who are highly skilled and highly motivated, and especially focussed on gold standard patient care, evidenced based medicine and quality improvement by clinically auditing practices and protocols. Our nursing team boast:

  • A Nursing Cert holder in Anaesthesia
  • An ECC Nurse
  • An ISFM Feline Nurse
