At Medivet Petts Wood, we're looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-established practice where patient care, teamwork and professional development are at the heart of everything we do.

Our team currently consists of a Lead Veterinary Surgeon, Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, Patient Care Assistant and Client Care Assistant, creating a collaborative and supportive environment where every team member plays an important role and is genuinely valued.

The Role:

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll play a vital role within the practice, with responsibilities including:

  • Delivering high-quality nursing care to a varied caseload
  • Performing nurse consultations and supporting surgical procedures and inpatient care
  • Maintaining excellent clinical standards and patient welfare
  • Building strong relationships with clients and their pets
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive veterinary team
  • Contributing ideas to help continuously improve patient care and practice operations

Weekend & Bank Holiday Commitment:

As part of our wider Medivet community, this role includes:

  • A share of weekend shifts at our 24-hour Beckenham Hospital (currently one weekend in five)
  • A fair share of Bank Holiday cover at Beckenham Hospital
  • Time off in lieu provided for Bank Holiday shifts and weekends worked

This arrangement offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience within a busy hospital environment while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

About you

You’re a RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care. You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.

What you’ll be doing

Typically, in this role, you’ll:

  • Deliver exceptional care to patients, carrying out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges
  • Deliver exceptional care to your clients
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team
