We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Hart Veterinary Centre, Bicester on a full-time basis. We can offer a permanent position with a £3,000 welcome bonus, or a 12-month fixed term contract.
About Hart Veterinary Centre
Hart Veterinary Centre has been caring for pets and their people since 1993 and operates across two modern sites in Bicester and Waddesdon. Our Bicester site is a well-equipped 24-hour hospital with dedicated night nurses, allowing for excellent continuity of care and gold-standard treatment.
You’ll be working within a small, friendly team of vets and nurses who value collaboration, clinical excellence, and a positive working environment. Our facilities include digital x-ray, dental suite, in-house laboratory equipment, modern anaesthetic monitoring, and separate cat and dog wards. We are also proud to be a Silver Standard ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic, promoting low-stress handling and patient-focused care.

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
Shifts are between 9 to 9.5 hours long, 4 days a week, with the earliest start at 7:30am and the latest finish at 7:30pm. We can consider a permanent or fixed-term contract basis for this role.
General Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care across theatre, inpatient, and consultation settings
- Support anaesthesia, surgery, and patient monitoring
- Run nurse consultations and provide preventative healthcare advice
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver excellent patient and client care
You Might Be a Great Fit If...
We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You’ll bring:
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
- A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
