We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Kingston Vets on a Full-time basis.
About Us
Kingston Veterinary Group is a long-established group of 2 practices in the heart of Somerset and Dorset. We operate across two locations, offering Small Animal and Farm animal care, all conveniently situated close to each other. Our state-of-the-art facilities enable our clinical team to deliver Veterinary care with a strong focus on maintaining high clinical standards, which we continually strive to develop and enhance.
We have two wonderful, purpose-built practices, located in Yeovil and Sherborne, complete with:
- Dental suite
- Imaging suite
- Separate Cat, Dog, and Isolation facilities
- Laboratory room
- Farm procedure room
- Large Species split waiting room
- Host of offices
- Separate Nurses' office upstairs
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
We currently have both full-time and part-time positions available.
Full-time
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a Saturday morning on a 1:4 rota basis.
- There are no Out of Hours requirements.
- The role will be predominantly based at our Yeovil site, with flexibility to work at our Sherborne site when needed.

Part-time
- 26 hours per week across 3 days, working across both our Yeovil and Sherborne sites.
- Shifts will rotate between 8:30 am and 6:30 pm, with a 1:4 Saturday morning rota.
General Responsibilities
- Assisting our Veterinary Surgeons in theatre and consultations
- Responsibility for inpatient care
- Monitoring anaesthetics
- Assisting with patient admits and discharges
- Carrying out nurse consultations

We’re looking for a confident, experienced, and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You’ll bring:
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
- A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
