Podiatric Specialist Registrar AFC Band 8B

An opportunity has arisen for a podiatric surgeon to join the podiatric surgery team in Nottinghamshire as a Podiatric Specialist Registrar AFC band 8B working 30 hours per week.

About the Role

The Podiatric Surgery team provides highly specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice regarding podiatric surgery to the population of Nottinghamshire and the surrounding area. The post will be based at Park House Health and Social Care Centre, Carlton. The Centre is equipped with twin theatres, dedicated outpatient facilities and access to onsite ultrasound and fluoroscopy.

You will be part of a motivated team providing a high standard of clinical care and advice in the field of podiatric surgery. You will work alongside the Clinical Lead Consultant Podiatric Surgeon and will continue to develop skills, knowledge and expertise in all aspects of podiatric surgery supported by a specialist team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of podiatry and a commitment to evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities

This role requires the delivery of day case podiatric surgery at Park House Health and Social Care Centre. The post holder will be annotated in podiatric surgery by the HCPC and will demonstrate a clear commitment to evidence-based practice.

You would love to hear from you if you have completed your fellowship in podiatric surgery / Master of Podiatric Surgery qualification and are ready to develop your practice of podiatric surgery in a supervised environment. The post will offer development through to the Certificate of Completion of Podiatric Specialist Training. You will evaluate and develop treatment plans, working collaboratively with our team, community podiatry, GPs and hospital specialists, providing compassionate, realistic and timely support to a diverse patient group and their families. Able to mentor and train junior team members and surgical trainees.
