Registration Representative / FT / Days
The Registration Representative ensures accurate, compliant patient registration and supports efficient admissions, documentation, and billing through precise data collection, clear communication, and consistent professional service. The Registration Representative is an onsite position.
Essential Functions
- Collects accurate demographic, insurance, physician, and consent information while ensuring all required documentation—such as ABNs and advanced directives—is properly obtained and recorded.
- Processes patient registration materials by scanning insurance documents, preparing identification bands, completing admission charts, and entering compliant test and diagnosis data to support Medicare medical necessity verification.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with patients, employees, nursing supervisors, and other departments to answer questions, coordinate direct admissions, and support smooth workflow across the Revenue Cycle.
- Maintains high-quality performance by achieving a QA score of 95% or higher, revising work based on feedback, and ensuring accurate data entry such as attending physician information for result routing.
- Demonstrates professional excellence by providing equitable care to all patients and participating as an active member of the Registration team.
- Prepare, prevent, protect and respond to support our culture of safety.
- Works hours per week in accordance with offer letter or per attributes of position at transfer request. May be expected to work longer hours as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
